In Season 7, Daenerys is trekking to Westeros with her three dragons–and they are bigger than ever. Director Matt Shankman told Entertainment Weekly that the dragons are the size of Boeing 747 airplanes. Drogon continues to be the biggest and fiercest.

“The dragons this year are the size of 747s,” Shankman told the site. “Drogon is the biggest of the bunch–his flame is 30-feet in diameter!”

Shankman’s comparison to a 747 might have only been an approximation. For what it’s worth, the jumbo jets are around 250 feet long with a wingspan of over 220 feet.

Shankman is one of four directors for Game of Thrones Season 7 episodes. Game of Thrones veterans Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, and Mark Mylod are also directing episodes in the upcoming season.

Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on Sunday, July 16. There are seven episodes in all, with Season 8–which is expected to be the show’s last–containing just six.

In other news, singer Ed Sheeran, MLB pitcher Noah Syndergaard, and Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds will have cameos in Season 7.
