Getting A 6 Pack

For most people getting a 6 pack is not an easy task. It is possible but it requires a great degree  of dedication. Below you will find a basic guide 2 step guide that will help you. If you follow this guide for 3 months you will see results.

This can be the most important part towards getting that six pack. Having the best set of abs is no good if it is covered in a layer of fat, because you will not be able to see them. Jump start your metabolism by breaking your day up with 5 or 6 small meals. Stay away from food that will hamper you achieving your goals, such as pasta, white bread, candy, soda, hydrogenated food, fast foods, corn syrup and sugars.

Start to replace these foods with items that will help you such as whole grain breads, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts, fish, chicken, olive oil, protein and water. Only with radically improving your eating habits will you achieve your goal.

There are three main exercises areas for you to concentrate on for getting a 6 pack, weightlifting, cardio, and ab exercises. Your aim should be to try and workout between 3 and 4 times a week.

Weightlifting – try and aim for 30 to 45 minutes, at least twice a week. Adding 3 pounds of muscle will burn as many calories as a one mile jog. If you are confused about what type of exercises to do there are many free guides on the internet. One such guide is the free exercise and workout guide at

Cardio – the best type of cardio exercise is one that you will enjoy doing, it can be anything, running, walking, cycling, the more you enjoy it the easier it will be for you to stick with it. Try and aim for 30 to 45 minutes, at least twice a week.

Ab Exercises – you need to incorporate ab exercises into your workout routines. You should work on your abs at least 3 times a week. There are a lot of different ab exercises, all producing the same effect so try and find half a dozen  that you enjoy doing so you can mix them up.

Try and mix up your routine every couple of weeks this will keep your body guessing. Adding or removing different exercises, varying the weights, mixing up the reps, or the forms of cardio you do will help to get the most from your exercise.

It will take dedication and commitment on your part in your fight to getting a 6 pack, but the feeling you will get when you look in the mirror
